June 12th, 2009 Family Ministry

Christian families need a place to get away to where they can be together as a family, where they can learn how to be a family again, as God intended. Too often our rushed lives encourage us to isolate from one another while each pursues his own interest. Dad is on the computer. Mom is on the phone. The kids are playing video games or away with friends. When do you have family time? Do you eat meals together? Pray together? By and by, if you’re not careful, you will look back and see the time is gone, the kids are grown, and meaningful moments lost.
I’ll never forget camping as a child with my family. We camped throughout the east coast U.S., from NJ to Florida and sometimes to Canada. It was on those adventures that I learned to appreciate the great
outdoors – but even more so – to spend time with my family making memories.
Our family camping ministry will include morning Bible devotions with your family – followed by family fun and games – swimming – and making smores by the campfire at night to name a few. Or you might want to take in the local scenery with all that the Adirondack Mountains and villages have to offer. Either way, your camp experience is designed for your family to draw closer together as you draw closer to God, in a safe Christian environment.
