Jesus retreated to quite places in order to commune with His Father in Heaven. How much more do you need to get alone with God? The Believer must drink of the living water over and over in order to stay vibrant in the Lord. And in the Apostle John’s revelation of Jesus – the angel tells the church of Ephesus to return to their first love. (Rev 2:4-5)
We too need to return to our first love – recommit – rededicate. I have found that the single most important thing I can do to strengthen my walk is to ‘ remember my first love’ – remember how He called me out of darkness into His glorious light – remember how much I have been forgiven and healed – remember what a friend I have in Jesus.
The ‘Jesus is Lord Retreat’ will give you that opportunity to be alone with God in His creation, remembering your first love, so that you can return with renewed zeal and commitment to the Lord.
